Increased features and performance
The AC500 platform comes with new and more powerful features; processor with larger memory for various automation solutions, control applications solutions from simple to complex motion. PROFINET IO (*), EtherCAT (*) or EthernetIP (*) Ethernet fieldbus protocols are freely configurable and can be used from the built-in Ethernet interface. The interchangeable structure of the built-in Ethernet protocol allows to set up a simple network architecture, occupies less space in the panel, and provides flexible configuration by reducing inventory holding costs for each communication protocol. The CPU also comes internally with the CANopen protocol CANopen Master and Slave (*), J1939 or CAN 2A/2B and modular CAN supported. In this way, it provides fast connection to both remote I/Os and other equipment in the existing system via the internal communication protocol.

With less hardware and additional software options, you can configure your PLC specifically for your application. Thanks to the dynamically resizable user data areas from 8MB to 160MB, programming memory and Web server, the new CPUs can meet almost all your applications and system needs.
