ABB offers a full range of DIN-type HRC-blade fuses from 2 to 1600 Amps, 500 V and 690 V.

Superior current limiting ability
Blade fuses limit the unlimited short-circuit currents that may occur to the level of their breaking current capacity. When using the low operating energy and breaking current values given in this brochure, cables and equipment can be identified without oversizing. For example, at low short-circuit currents, the specific transition energy protects the overcurrent relay from being burned. The blade fuse, which operates extremely quickly during short circuit, prevents the contactor contacts from sticking, as well as reduces the short circuit power in lines and equipment.
Double fuse indicator
The DIN type blade fuse has a double indication system, one at the top and the other in the middle, and is available in the most commonly used fuse models up to 630 A. The central display and the large windows of the ABB fuse-disconnector on the front cover increase service speed and safety level.
Optional electronic fuse display enhances protection and circuit control. The fuse display shows the working status of the fuse and sends control pulses in the working fuse condition. The fuse helps protect three-phase motors in single-phase operation.
New blade fuses

The DIN 0 size blade fuse saves space in the switchboard when used together with the OS-fused switch-disconnector.
New fuses in 5 different sizes have been developed to expand the scope of protection products such as main switch and motor protection switch. To obtain a motor power of 1000 kW at 690V, use OS1250 size fuse-disconnector and size 5 blade fuse.
Selectivity
Selectivity is one of the most important features of the blade fuse, which contributes to the reliability and availability of an electrical network. In the event of a fault, only the affected part of the network is isolated. At the same time, the system allows normal currents to flow through the rest of the network. ABB blade fuses are, in most cases, selective for 1:1.6 sequential fuses. In some cases, ABB fuses in the same range are selective up to 1:1.25.
Safe protection
ABB blade fuses guarantee maximum protection against all faults. The best protection in high voltage can be provided with fuses with blades. The fused system has a type 2 coordination class (according to IEC60947-4-1) up to 690 V. This standard is required for situations where it is necessary for equipment to be operational even after a short circuit. Fast processing contributes to the most economical protection of semiconductors. The flexibility that large blade fuses bring to the short-circuit protection of distribution and motor circuits optimizes the use of fused switch-disconnectors.
