ABB softstarters offer many benefits to their users. For consultants, machine builders, panel builders or end users, softstarter use‚ means safer protection, easier installation and more efficient implementation.

ABB softstarters protect motors from electrical stress, prolonging motor life. Starting currents are easily optimized according to the load condition, type of application and motor size. There are more than 10 motor protection features internally and the motor is protected under different load and mains conditions.

It reduces installation time and panel size with its internal product features. Softstarters are easy to install, thanks to their compact design and many built-in features. With the built-in bypass, energy and space are saved and heat dissipation is reduced. A complete motor starting solution is provided in a single unit.

The softstarter not only starts the motor but also reduces downtimes in production. Our soft starters reduce mechanical stress on motors and extend motor life. With many features such as torque control, pump cleaning, engine braking, processes run at full performance.

Reduce electrical stress and protect motor with motor protection switch

The PSR lowers the starting current of the motor. The motor is protected against overload and short circuit thanks to the connection with the motor protection switch.

Save time and money with built-in bypass and faceplate adjustment potentiometers

With the built-in bypass feature of the PSR, you can save installation time and also save space in your panel. Adjustments can be made quickly and easily with three potentiometers on the front.

Reduce mechanical stress on the engine

With the soft start and soft stop made using PSR, mechanical wear and damage on the engine can be reduced. This contributes positively to the engine operating life.

Full engine protection

PSTX provides complete motor protection in a single unit against load and mains disturbances. PT-100 protects your motors in the safest way with many protection functions such as earth fault protection and over/under voltage.

Time and energy saving with internal bypass

When the motor reaches rated speed, PSTX activates its bypass. This reduces the heat dissipation of the softstarter and saves energy. With PSTX's built-in bypass feature, it is possible to reduce installation time and save space in your panels.

Full control of pumps

It's time to use pump processes to their full potential. PSTX has special application features such as torque control, which is the most efficient method of starting and stopping pumps. The pump cleaning feature reverses the pump rotation direction, cleans the pipes and increases operational safety.

Basic motor protection and current limiting

It has many protection functions for PSE pumps that can be used in different load situations. For example, overload and underload protection. The current limiting feature allows you to start and control the motor more efficiently under weak mains conditions.

In the PSE series, there is a bypass that saves time and space during installation. There is no language option on the keypad and the screen, and the icons are displayed graphically. The compact product design speeds up installation and makes it extremely easy.

Torque control feature that prevents water damage in pump systems

It is the most efficient method to start and stop a torque-controlled pump. PSE has a special torque ramp that has been developed in collaboration with pump manufacturers, which optimally prevents water damage.
